About the Role

Own key product surfaces from concept through production, using layout, interaction, and motion to make complex behavior simple and safe. Use LLMs, Cursor, and Claude Code to explore implementations, scaffold components, and refine quality. Build and test interactive React and TypeScript prototypes with customers, translate design principles into reusable components, extend the design system, create clear patterns for AI and automation, optimize accessibility and performance, and document AI-native workflows.

Requirements

  • Strong experience across design and front-end engineering, with ownership from idea to shipped interface.
  • Fluency in React, TypeScript or JavaScript, semantic HTML, and modern CSS.
  • Active use of Cursor and Claude Code.
  • A portfolio demonstrating high visual and interaction craft in live experiences or working prototypes.
  • A systems mindset and interest in reusable components and patterns.
  • Care for performance, accessibility, and reliability.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Comfort pairing with designers, engineers, and marketers.
  • Based in New York City or open to relocating to New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build high-craft product experiences from concept through production.
  • Use LLMs, Cursor, and Claude Code to explore implementations, scaffold components, and refactor work.
  • Build interactive prototypes in React and TypeScript and validate them with real users.
  • Translate design principles into reusable components and patterns.
  • Extend the design system with expressive, brand-aligned components.
  • Design patterns that clearly communicate AI and automation activity.
  • Ship fast, accessible, and robust experiences.
  • Partner with engineers to debug and optimize performance.
  • Document and share AI-native prompts, patterns, and workflows.
