About the Role
You will build and operate ingestion and ELT pipelines, onboard new data sources, and maintain production systems. You will add data-quality checks, reconcile data, maintain metadata, build backend services and internal tools, integrate AI capabilities, and turn recurring stakeholder requests into self-service solutions.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of data engineering, backend, or platform engineering experience
- SQL
- Python
- Experience with Airflow or similar pipeline tooling
- Cloud services experience, preferably AWS
- Production system ownership
- Backend development and service deployment experience
- Clear communication
Responsibilities
- Write and operate ingestion and ELT pipelines
- Onboard new data sources into trusted tables
- Maintain and improve production pipelines
- Add data-quality checks and expose missing data
- Reconcile data against independent sources
- Investigate data anomalies
- Maintain the metadata repository
- Document datasets
- Build backend and data layers for internal tools
- Integrate AI tooling into the platform
- Turn recurring stakeholder requests into self-service solutions
