About the Role
Translate domain knowledge into data infrastructure requirements, explore customer data, and identify cleaning and analysis opportunities. Deliver interactive analysis platforms, data quality reports, statistical analyses, visualizations, automated insights, anomaly detection, AI-assisted checks, and natural language interfaces. Design and maintain reliable ETL and ELT pipelines, validate AI and machine learning outputs, run quality controls, document decisions, and improve tools for data cleaning, modeling, analytics, and data quality assessment.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a data-driven role or equivalent data-related research experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, mathematics, engineering, or a data-driven field
- Competence in Python, R, or an equivalent programming language
- Competence in at least two of database technologies, data science libraries, data pipelining workflows and tools, or cloud providers
- Ability to translate complex data findings into clear narratives
- Strong communication capability for decomposing complex operational workflows into clear repeatable steps
- Track record of transforming raw inputs into high-quality trusted datasets
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Generative AI tool experience is a plus
- Testing framework experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Partner with client delivery teams and customers to translate domain knowledge into data infrastructure requirements
- Validate assumptions and resolve data-related issues
- Explore customer data and analyze its contents and characteristics
- Suggest data cleaning and analysis approaches
- Deliver interactive data analysis and investigation platforms
- Create data quality reports, statistical analyses, and visualizations
- Build automated insights, anomaly detection, AI-assisted data quality checks, and natural language interfaces
- Evaluate AI and machine learning output quality against domain expectations
- Design human-in-the-loop checks for trustworthy data products
- Own the design, quality, and reliability of ETL and ELT pipelines
- Coordinate with stakeholders and customers to resolve missing information and discrepancies
- Run automated tests and targeted manual reviews on data and data products
- Document assumptions and decisions
- Identify opportunities to automate and enhance data cleaning, modeling, analytics, and data quality tools
