About the Role
Provide legal advice on regulatory and litigation matters involving financial regulation, consumer protection, securities, payments, anti-money laundering, sanctions, anti-bribery, and blockchain. Develop regulatory strategies, respond to inquiries, lead cross-jurisdictional projects, create legal resources, monitor legal developments, and support litigation and investigations.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor or foreign equivalent from an accredited law school
- 4-8 years of experience in regulatory and litigation roles, preferably in financial services or technology
- Strong knowledge of global financial regulations including securities, anti-money laundering, and consumer protection laws
- Experience with regulatory inquiries and cross-functional project leadership
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven project management skills leading cross-functional initiatives
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English
- Familiarity with blockchain regulatory issues is a plus
- Government experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Advise on financial regulatory and consumer protection matters
- Develop and implement regulatory strategy
- Assess and respond to regulatory inquiries
- Create legal resources and guidance for consistent advice
- Lead cross-jurisdictional regulatory analysis projects
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and anticipate risks
- Coordinate with stakeholders to mitigate legal risk
- Provide hands-on support in litigation and investigations
