About the Role
You will lead physical installation projects, coordinate low-voltage contractors, manage deployment schedules, and conduct multi-stage quality inspections. You will test fiber and copper links, maintain installation standards, produce test reports and as-builts, investigate issues, and hand completed work over to operations.
Requirements
- Expertise in fiber optics, structured cabling, and data center physical infrastructure
- Experience with OTDR, VFL, power-meter, and fiber installation testing
- Experience racking, stacking, and cabling hardware at scale
- Ability to read technical drawings and schematics in AutoCAD and Visio
- Ability to travel 50% for on-site turn-ups
Responsibilities
- Own the lifecycle of physical installation projects
- Coordinate low-voltage contractor schedules and quality assurance
- Serve as the on-site technical contact and remote hands during deployment
- Manage deployment milestones, access, material delivery, staging, and progress reporting
- Run quality inspections for rack placement, cable routing, grounding, and labeling
- Conduct or oversee fiber and copper testing
- Generate test reports, as-builts, and root-cause analyses
- Own project closeout and handoff to operations
