Computational Biologist
The Bio protocol is a financial layer for Decentralized Science (DeSci), engineered to commercialize scientific research more quickly. It enables anyone to fund, develop, and govern tokenized scientific innovations from various sources. The platform is built on a growing ecosystem of DeSci projects and is supported by key figures in both the crypto and biotech industries.
About BIO Protocol
Bio Protocol is a decentralized science (DeSci) platform that serves as a financial layer to commercialize scientific research more quickly. It enables anyone to fund, develop, and govern tokenized scientific innovations from universities, companies, and researchers globally. The platform features Ignition Sales for backing promising research through low-cap fundraises, a BioXP point system for earning access to these sales through staking and governance, and a platform for building on Bio's Scientific AI Agents. The ecosystem supports various DeSci projects in specialized therapeutic areas like longevity, women's health, psychedelic science, and more, with backing from top crypto and biotech players.
Skills
About the Role
You will validate AI-generated biological outputs using computational methods such as simulations, structural analysis, and database cross-referencing. You will translate AI predictions into executable protocols for cloud labs or technical specifications for CROs. You will build and maintain validation pipelines that catch errors before experiments run and manage the hand-off from digital predictions to physical experiments. You will transform JSON outputs into experimental protocols and validation workflows.
Requirements
- PhD in Computational Biology Bioinformatics or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and pipeline development
- Experience with computational validation methods including molecular simulations structural analysis and sequence analysis
- Ability to critically evaluate biological predictions and identify potential issues
- Comfort working at the interface of software and biology
Responsibilities
- Validate AI outputs using computational methods such as simulations structural analysis and database cross-referencing
- Translate AI predictions into executable protocols for cloud labs and technical specifications for CROs
- Build and maintain validation pipelines to catch errors before they consume lab resources
- Manage the hand-off between digital predictions and physical experiments
- Transform JSON outputs into experimental protocols and validation workflows
Benefits
- Fully remote work
- Token or equity component
