About the Role
You own the compliance function in the Netherlands and work with the group compliance team to operate and implement the compliance framework for a licensed trading entity. You monitor regulations, maintain policies, conduct trade surveillance, prepare regulatory reports, assess risks, train employees, and support counterparty due diligence.
Requirements
- Degree in Law, Finance, or a related field
- 5-8 years of compliance experience in the financial services sector in the Netherlands
- Knowledge of the Dutch Wwft and EU AML Directives
- Understanding of MiCAR market integrity and conduct rules
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Cryptocurrency or high-frequency trading experience preferred
- Trade surveillance systems experience preferred
- Familiarity with DORA preferred
- CAMS certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret Dutch and EU regulations
- Implement regulatory procedures
- Draft and maintain local compliance policies
- Conduct daily trade surveillance
- Investigate potential market abuse
- Prepare and submit reports to the AFM and DNB
- Assist with regulatory inquiries
- Perform compliance risk assessments
- Deliver compliance training
- Manage counterparty onboarding and due diligence
