About the Role
You will serve as a local presence in Texas data center communities. You will build relationships with officials and community stakeholders, develop engagement strategies, represent projects publicly, monitor local sentiment, coordinate investments and charitable giving, incorporate community input into infrastructure plans, and build scalable engagement processes. You will travel regularly within the region.
Requirements
- Experience in community affairs, public affairs, economic development, government relations, government, or a related field
- Experience engaging local governments and community stakeholders on infrastructure, construction, energy, or technology projects
- Ability to build relationships and coalitions with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to represent a company in public settings
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage concurrent engagements across markets
- Based in Texas or willing to relocate
- Prepared to travel regularly across the region
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with local officials, agencies, community groups, civic leaders, educational institutions, and workforce partners
- Develop community engagement strategies across site selection, construction, and operations
- Build coalitions and host education and listening sessions
- Represent projects in public forums, town halls, hearings, events, and local media
- Monitor community sentiment and local political dynamics
- Integrate community input into infrastructure planning and delivery
- Develop locally relevant messaging
- Coordinate charitable giving, community investment, and economic development commitments
- Explain environmental stewardship practices and respond to questions about power, water, and land use
- Build scalable community engagement playbooks and processes
