About the Role
World is seeking a Communications Lead to shape and scale its communications strategy in Brazil through consumer brand storytelling, product communications, media relations, agency management, localization, reputation management, and crisis communications.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of communications experience.
- Strong track record with Brazilian media and ability to build new relationships.
- Experience managing external agencies.
- Experience in crisis communication and reputation management.
- Fluent written and spoken Portuguese and English.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally across time zones and deliver under tight deadlines.
- Experience in disruptive technology or startup environments; crypto, blockchain, or Web3 experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute targeted communication plans for Brazil.
- Lead media relations, including press inquiries, interviews, and pitches.
- Build relationships with top-tier Brazilian broadcast, print, and online media.
- Develop localization strategies for global announcements and product features.
- Deliver crisis communication responses and establish reputation risk protocols.
- Manage external communications agencies and monitor performance.
- Oversee media monitoring, evaluate effectiveness, and draft reports.
- Create press releases, by-line articles, and other press materials.
