About the Role
You will design civil infrastructure for battery storage plants, including foundations, grading, drainage, roads, fire lanes, and equipment yards. You will produce construction packages, coordinate electrical and fire-safety interfaces, resolve construction issues, maintain as-built records, and provide on-call support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or another engineering discipline
- 3+ years of civil or structural design experience on industrial, energy, or data center sites
- Ability to work in heat, cold, rain, tight quarters, or at heights
- Availability for extended hours, weekends, and 24/7 emergency on-call support
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
- Willingness to work on-site in Memphis, Tennessee
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Valid driver's license
Responsibilities
- Own civil and site design for battery storage plants
- Support fire and life-safety provisions for authority review
- Coordinate seismic and severe-weather structural design bases
- Produce issued-for-construction civil packages
- Resolve RFIs, submittals, and installation-quality issues
- Coordinate duct banks, oil containment, and grounding-grid civil interfaces
- Maintain as-built civil records
