About the Role
You will operate, maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot critical mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in data centers. You will coordinate shutdowns, maintain spare-parts inventory, develop energy metrics, execute operating procedures, and support equipment commissioning and testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or 2+ years of hands-on operations or facilities experience
- Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering principles and systems
- Knowledge of critical-systems documentation
- Knowledge of building and electrical power monitoring systems
- Troubleshooting skills
- Experience with PLC-based control systems or building management systems
- Written, verbal, and technical writing skills in English
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to work in tight quarters, at heights, and in extreme outdoor environments
- Availability for flexible 24x7 shifts, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Willingness to travel up to 10%
- Valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Ensure MEP infrastructure safety and environmental compliance
- Provide operational expertise for data center MEP systems
- Inspect facilities and self-report problems
- Write and execute MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs
- Perform daily critical-system inspections
- Maintain spare-parts inventory
- Coordinate and supervise scheduled system shutdowns
- Develop and implement energy-monitoring metrics
- Support commissioning, equipment startup, functional testing, and construction monitoring
