About the Role
You will own the entire engineering organization and be the architect of how the product is built. You will define and execute the technical roadmap, design protocol and infrastructure decisions, and architect the hybrid market structure. You will lead blockchain and smart contract development, backend and infrastructure, and mobile engineering. You will drive core workstreams including trading infrastructure, tokenization and real-world assets, and consumer app development. You will implement engineering processes for extreme velocity while maintaining code quality and security, manage a globally distributed team, and present technical strategy to executive leadership.
Requirements
- 12+ years in engineering with at least 5 years in VP/CTO/Head of Engineering roles at high-growth companies.
- Trading systems background with experience shipping perpetuals, spot trading, order matching, or derivatives infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with EVM-based smart contracts (Solidity), DeFi protocols, and onchain infrastructure.
- Experience shipping mobile-first consumer apps at scale, ideally in fintech, trading, or gaming.
- Cross-functional engineering leadership managing blockchain, backend, and mobile disciplines.
- Familiarity with sports betting or prediction markets, including concepts like vig, odds, early exit, and prediction market infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for a mobile-first trading platform
- Architect hybrid CLOB and RFQ market structures
- Design protocol-level infrastructure decisions
- Own integration architecture with partner infrastructure
- Build scale and retain engineering teams across blockchain, smart contracts, mobile, and backend
- Establish and implement engineering processes that balance velocity with code quality and security
- Manage a globally distributed engineering organization across APAC, EU, and US time zones
- Drive core technical workstreams including trading infrastructure, tokenization and RWA, blockchain and protocol, and consumer app development
- Partner with product and present technical strategy to executive leadership
