About the Role
You will be the architect of the technical strategy and own the entire engineering organization, including blockchain infrastructure, smart contract development, mobile, web, and backend systems. You will design protocol-level infrastructure, architect market and matching systems, integrate with external infrastructure such as Crypto.com, and drive core technical workstreams (trading infrastructure, tokenization & RWA, blockchain & protocol, consumer app). You will hire, scale, and manage a globally distributed engineering team, implement processes that enable extreme velocity while maintaining security and code quality, and present technical strategy and investment cases to executive leadership.
Requirements
- 12+ years in engineering with at least 5 years in VP, CTO, or Head of Engineering roles
- Experience building or leading teams that shipped perpetuals, spot trading, order matching, or derivatives infrastructure
- Deep hands-on experience with EVM-based smart contracts and Solidity
- Experience with DeFi protocols and onchain infrastructure including protocol design and bridge security
- Mobile-first consumer product experience with shipped mobile apps at scale (React Native or native iOS/Android)
- Proven cross-functional engineering leadership across blockchain, backend, and mobile disciplines
- Familiarity with sports betting or prediction market infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical roadmap for a mobile-first trading platform
- Architect the hybrid CLOB and RFQ market structure and matching engine
- Design protocol-level infrastructure and protocol decisions
- Own integration architecture with Crypto.com's infrastructure
- Build, scale, and retain engineering teams across blockchain, smart contracts, mobile, and backend
- Establish engineering culture focused on accountability, velocity, and technical excellence
- Implement engineering processes that maintain code quality and security at high velocity
- Manage a globally distributed team across APAC, EU, and US time zones
- Drive core technical workstreams including trading infrastructure, tokenization and RWA, blockchain and protocol, and consumer app
- Present technical strategy and progress to executive leadership and build business cases for engineering investments
