About the Role

You will define scientific direction for embodied intelligence and biped AI. You will build and mentor scientists and engineers, evaluate robot-learning approaches, develop real-to-simulation learning loops, set rigorous evaluations, integrate advances into deployed systems, and share technical work through publications and collaborations.

Requirements

  • Record of significant contributions to AI, deep learning, robot learning, or a related field
  • Expertise in robot learning, world models, manipulation, whole-body control, 3D perception, or simulation and learning for physical systems
  • Experience defining scientific roadmaps and leading programs through uncertainty
  • Track record of recruiting and mentoring scientists and engineers
  • Commitment to evaluating, integrating, and deploying reliable robots
  • Ability to collaborate across disciplines and communicate complex technical ideas clearly

Responsibilities

  • Define scientific direction and priorities for embodied intelligence and biped AI
  • Build and mentor a team of scientists and engineers
  • Evaluate approaches in robot learning, world models, manipulation, loco-manipulation, perception, and simulation
  • Develop learning loops between robot data, simulation, training, evaluation, and deployment
  • Integrate AI advances into reliable systems across platforms
  • Set evaluations and milestones for generalisation, reliability, data efficiency, and human-robot interaction
  • Share technical work through publications and conferences
  • Develop academic and industry collaborations
