About the Role
You will develop and optimize analytical infrastructure for scalable reporting and analytics. You will design semantic and dimensional data models, improve dbt pipelines, administer Tableau Cloud, integrate dashboards into web applications, tune performance, govern data marts, and mentor junior engineers and analysts.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, or data engineering
- Expert-level SQL proficiency
- Experience with dbt or similar analytics engineering frameworks
- Experience with healthcare data domains
- Deep expertise in Tableau Cloud, Desktop, and Prep
- Experience designing scalable data models
- Understanding of dimensional modeling and analytical performance tuning
- Experience with Airflow
- Hands-on experience with AWS-based data platforms
- Ability to mentor or functionally lead a small team
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead business intelligence and analytics architecture execution and refinement
- Design and implement semantic and dimensional data models
- Define shared data definitions and source-of-truth datasets
- Improve dbt modeling, testing, and documentation practices
- Support release management, quality testing, version control, and asset promotion
- Enable dashboard and KPI framework delivery using Tableau
- Administer Tableau Cloud including user management, security, performance tuning, and configuration
- Integrate Tableau dashboards into web applications using Tableau APIs
- Remediate performance bottlenecks across queries, data models, and dashboards
- Drive adoption of governed data marts
- Mentor and functionally lead junior engineers and analysts
- Maintain documentation, standards, and operating processes
