About the Role
You will perform the end-to-end monthly accounting close process for three SEC-registered broker-dealers, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant financial statements. You will prepare monthly and quarterly FINRA filings, including FOCUS Reports and Net Capital computations, and take responsibility for year-end GAAP audits with external auditors. You will support regulatory examinations, monitor daily net capital in collaboration with the FINOP and trading desks, maintain documentation of close processes and accounting policies, and contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years of broker-dealer accounting
- Willingness to pass the Series 27 exam within one year of joining
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience coordinating with trade operations or back-office functions is a plus
Responsibilities

- Manage year-end GAAP audits with external auditors and respond to audit inquiries
- Support regulatory examinations by providing documents and responding to regulator inquiries
- Monitor daily net capital and work with FINOP and trading desks to manage net capital needs
- Maintain documentation of close processes, accounting policies, and regulatory filings
- Respond to ad-hoc requests and support department process improvement initiatives
