About Harmony
Harmony operates an open blockchain platform supporting Ethereum applications, assets, collectibles, identity, and governance. Its ecosystem includes documentation and developer tools, SDKs, APIs, deployment resources, validator and delegator functions, governance, and community forums. Harmony also operates a LayerZero-powered bridge interface that enables users to transfer crypto assets between Ethereum and Harmony.
Skills
About the Role
You will design, implement, and maintain core blockchain components with a strong emphasis on security, scalability, and decentralization. You will operate and tune a large public node network, manage on‑chain assets, and optimize system throughput and operational costs. You will profile and debug low-level systems, prototype research ideas, and coordinate asynchronously with distributed engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science specializing in kernel, data structures, or compilers
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience, including at least 1 year of startup experience
- Willingness to work a 60-hour work week and provide a daily 4-hour overlap with Pacific Time
- Exceptional communication and people skills
Responsibilities
- Develop blockchain infrastructure that ensures high security, scalability, and decentralization
- Operate and maintain a network of 1000 nodes and manage on-chain assets valued at $500,000,000
- Optimize systems to handle 100,000,000 requests per second while managing operational costs around $250,000 per month
