About the Role

You will apply Bayesian and frequentist analyses to safety, regulatory, and risk questions. You will assess complex vehicle and safety data, develop production-ready monitoring workflows, select appropriate methods for rare or noisy data, and communicate defensible findings to technical and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree plus 6+ years of relevant experience, or master's degree plus 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Applied statistics, safety analysis, and risk-estimation background
  • Experience applying Bayesian analyses
  • Understanding of Bayesian and frequentist statistical frameworks
  • Ability to evaluate frequentist coverage of Bayesian credible intervals and adjust priors or model structure
  • Experience in autonomous vehicles, safety-critical domains, or actuarial work
  • Experience with complex real-world datasets
  • Python analysis experience
  • Ability to communicate statistical concepts to non-statistical audiences
  • Bayesian methods knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Employ Bayesian and frequentist analyses for safety and regulatory questions
  • Quantify and assess risk using time-series vehicle, sensor, and safety data
  • Translate statistical analyses into actionable engineering information
  • Develop automated production-ready workflows for continuous safety monitoring
  • Select and defend statistical approaches for sparse, noisy, or rare-event data
  • Communicate statistically defensible findings to technical leaders, safety stakeholders, and executives

Benefits

  • Bonus component
  • Stock options
