About the Role
You will set up, operate, and analyze battery energy-storage test systems. You will configure chambers, cyclers, sensors, fixtures, harnesses, and data-acquisition equipment; execute and troubleshoot test campaigns; evaluate data; support qualification testing; and help build battery test labs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in chemical engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline
- Hands-on experience with batteries, powertrain systems, or comparable electrochemical equipment
- Experience setting up and executing hardware tests using instrumentation, sensors, and data-acquisition equipment
- Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and electronic loads
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and test procedures
- Understanding of laboratory safety practices for high-voltage or high-power equipment
- Demonstrated ownership, reliable execution, documentation, and collaboration
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate battery energy-storage systems for testing
- Configure thermal chambers, battery cyclers, instrumentation, sensors, fixtures, harnesses, and data-acquisition equipment
- Execute electrochemical subsystem test campaigns
- Perform testing, debugging, and system-level troubleshooting
- Collect and evaluate test data and communicate abnormal findings
- Support qualification testing for failure modes, temperature, vibration, humidity, and altitude
- Install, verify, and deploy DC sources, power converters, fixtures, and harnesses
- Assist with battery test-lab design and buildout
