About the Role
Design, build, and maintain Kotlin backend services for fintech applications, including server-side logic, RESTful APIs, database integrations, performance optimization, security, debugging, code reviews, and deployment support.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on Kotlin
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
- Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies
- Familiarity with AWS or GCP and cloud deployment environments
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Prior fintech experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design efficient, reusable, and reliable Kotlin code for backend services
- Implement server-side logic and RESTful APIs
- Develop and maintain microservices and integrations with external APIs
- Troubleshoot and debug applications and optimize performance
- Implement security measures to protect data and maintain system integrity
- Participate in code reviews and contribute across the development lifecycle
- Collaborate with product and frontend teams to define and ship features
