About the Role

You will oversee day-to-day operations of data center infrastructure and ensure equipment runs reliably 24/7. You will create and execute preventative maintenance plans, mentor and train technicians, manage inventory and vendor relationships, and respond to time-sensitive issues. You will document findings, coordinate with other departments, and promote safety, security, and compliance while occasionally supporting after-hours and on-call duties.

Requirements

• 5+ years of supervisory experience in a critical infrastructure environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent technical certification preferred
• Experience with commercial mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience with PLC configuration and functions preferred
• Experience with commercial HVAC systems preferred
• Experience with IT infrastructure maintenance desired
• Forklift license preferred
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
• Ability to pass a motor vehicle check and have reliable transportation to the site
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and train others
• Must live within a one hour commute of the designated work site

Responsibilities

• Help the Manager, Data Center Operations manage all aspects of operations including personnel, equipment, and infrastructure
• Mentor, train, and develop technicians and specialists to support daily operations with minimal supervision
• Manage and facilitate purchasing and inventory control for data center assets and equipment
• Identify and resolve time sensitive issues under pressure
• Create, manage, and execute preventative maintenance plans for data center equipment
• Develop and manage critical vendor and contractor relationships
• Coordinate fixes and improvements with IT, HR, Networking, and Software departments
• Promote and maintain safety, security, and compliance in data center operations
• Support occasional outside normal business hours and on-call responsibilities
