About the Role
You'll join a 6-week paid piercing training program that combines classroom learning, observation, and hands-on practice at one of our studio locations. Once you successfully complete the program, you'll become eligible for a part-time or full-time Associate Piercer role at our Ponce studio. You'll act as a brand ambassador, guiding clients through the Studs experience with confident and professional communication. You'll get comfortable with piercing operating procedures and safety regulations, keep detailed records of maintenance and sterilized inventory, and uphold studio compliance and company policy at every step. You'll be expected to work efficiently, piercing a minimum of 18 appointments a day, while handling chemicals safely and delivering precise piercings with a steady hand.
Requirements
- 3 years of relevant work experience
- At least two years as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist (performing venipunctures and/or finger sticks) preferred
- Full Time: available to work a flexible schedule up to 5 days per week (32+ hours), including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Full Time: weekend availability (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) required
- Part Time: available to work a flexible schedule of varying days and hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Part Time: availability to work Saturday and Sunday
- Part Time: reliably attend work as scheduled for up to 29 hours per week
- Must pierce a minimum of 18 appointments a day
- Must be able to visually inspect ear anatomy to execute advanced piercings
- Must be able to deliver piercings with a steady hand
- Must be able to lift 20 lbs
- Must be able to handle chemicals safely
- Must be able to travel to a studio for the duration of the training program

- Meet and exceed performance expectations
- Serve as a brand ambassador and educate clients on the Studs experience
- Deliver confident clear and professional communication with clients
- Leverage Studs resources and policies in decision making
- Become well-versed in piercing operating procedures and regulations
- Maintain detailed record keeping of maintenance sterilized inventory and tools
- Prioritize studio compliance and adhere to standard operating procedures and company policy
- Admit mistakes and escalate issues when help is needed
- Provide best in class service to everyone in the studio
- Provide solutions-oriented feedback and remain open to receiving it
