About the Role
Lead Android Open Source Project efforts for a flexible foundation supporting payment applications. Collaborate with product, software, and hardware stakeholders, work with chip and terminal vendors, ensure Android OS quality, modify AOSP, integrate hardware interfaces, debug Android Framework and Linux Kernel issues, and coach team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working with the Android OS
- In-depth understanding of Android OS, secure boot, the Linux Kernel, and Java Framework integration
- Proficiency in C and C++
- Knowledge of Java and/or Kotlin is a plus
- Experience with Git, Repo, Gerrit, GitHub, adb, and fastboot
- Experience with multi-party development lifecycles, Google communication channels, Android Security Bulletins, and VTS/CTS/STS compliance tools
- Experience modifying AOSP for domain-specific features
- Expertise implementing and integrating HAL, HIDL, and AIDL interfaces and wrappers
- Experience debugging Android Framework and Linux Kernel issues
