About the Role

You will oversee all Americas accounting functions and lead process transformation efforts to support rapid growth. You will drive operational excellence, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and build a high-performing team. You will translate accounting needs into systems requirements and lead their integration, engage early in product and revenue discussions, and partner with cross-functional stakeholders to embed accounting into business and system design. You will lead process redesign and standardization across regions, ensure accurate accounting for broker/dealer and trading activity under US GAAP, improve month-end and year-end close cycles, and maintain robust internal controls and audit readiness.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Active or inactive CPA required
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience
• 5+ years in a senior leadership role
• Proven experience leading large, diverse accounting teams
• Experience in operational and general ledger accounting
• Hands-on experience owning and optimizing a tier 1 ERP such as Oracle Fusion
• Experience leading cross-functional process transformation and standardization
• Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including broker/dealer transactions, crypto accounting, and consolidation
• Experience with FINRA, SEC, and broker/dealer reporting requirements
• Expertise in multi-entity consolidations and high-volume reconciliations
• Prior experience in regulated financial services or fintech strongly preferred
• Experience or passion for the cryptocurrency industry highly valued
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills
• Ability to convey complex financial topics to technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow the Americas accounting team
• Oversee accounting operations including transaction recording, reconciliations, and close processes
• Manage and optimize partnerships with managed services providers
• Leverage Oracle Fusion ERP to streamline workflows and drive automation
• Translate accounting requirements into systems requirements and lead integration
• Lead process redesign and standardization across Americas accounting functions
• Ensure timely and accurate accounting for broker/dealer and trading activity in compliance with US GAAP and internal controls
• Define and implement best-in-class accounting processes and systems for scale and regulatory readiness
• Partner with FP&A, Tax, Product, Legal, and Finance Systems to align accounting with business initiatives
• Continuously improve month-end and year-end close cycles balancing speed, accuracy, and compliance
• Maintain robust internal controls and manage relationships with auditors and regulatory stakeholders
