About the Role

You will join a high-impact engineering team building customer-facing products and internal platforms while embedding AI-first development practices into everyday engineering. In this execution-focused role, you'll lead the design and delivery of high-quality fullstack solutions spanning frontend, backend, APIs, and cloud-integrated workflows, while helping shape technical direction and engineering standards. You'll work across the full stack, from building responsive React interfaces to designing scalable Node.js and Express services and optimizing MongoDB data models. You'll use AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude Code to speed up coding, debugging, documentation, and testing, and you'll help identify workflows where AI can improve team efficiency. You'll also integrate AI-powered capabilities into products, maintain strong test coverage, build CI/CD pipelines, monitor application health, and collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data, and Security teams while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in fullstack web development
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript across both frontend and backend development
  • Proven experience building production-grade applications using the MERN stack: MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js
  • Experience with other modern JavaScript frameworks and ecosystems such as Angular, Vue.js, Next.js, or similar is preferred
  • Strong experience building modern frontend applications with React, state management patterns, component design, and API integration
  • Proven ability to independently drive complex features and make sound technical decisions
  • Solid experience in backend development with Node.js, API design, authentication, authorization, and service integration
  • Good understanding of database design, schema modeling, indexing, and performance optimization in MongoDB
  • Experience with AI-assisted development tools and a practical mindset for using them to improve engineering outcomes
  • Experience building or integrating AI-enabled product capabilities, such as LLM-based features, prompt workflows, embeddings, semantic search, or automation services, is strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns, modular architecture, and scalable distributed system principles
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing frameworks such as Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright
  • Experience with CI/CD automation, version control systems such as GitHub, and modern engineering workflows
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, containerization, and deployment environments is preferred
  • Exposure to observability, experimentation, feature flags, and modern release strategies is a plus
  • Strong debugging, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills across frontend and backend systems
  • Strong communication, ownership, and collaboration skills in cross-functional teams
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction beyond individual feature ownership is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex fullstack web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React, and Node.js
  • Build responsive, performant, and reusable frontend components using React, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Develop scalable backend services, REST APIs, and microservices using Node.js and Express
  • Design and optimize data models, queries, and integrations using MongoDB and related persistence patterns
  • Own technical solutions end-to-end, from architecture and development to testing, deployment, observability, and post-release improvements
  • Operate as an end-to-end engineer who can independently drive complex feature development, unit testing, debugging, functional validation, and production readiness
  • Apply AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, and similar platforms to accelerate coding, debugging, documentation, test creation, and root-cause analysis
  • Drive AI-first practices within the team by identifying repeatable workflows where AI can improve developer efficiency, speed, quality, and maintainability
  • Integrate AI-powered capabilities into products where relevant, including LLM-based workflows, intelligent assistants, recommendations, automation, or developer tooling
  • Write and maintain strong unit, integration, and end-to-end test coverage using modern testing frameworks across frontend and backend stacks
  • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, TeamCity, or equivalent tooling to enable reliable builds and releases
  • Monitor application health, reliability, and performance using logs, dashboards, tracing, and alerting tools, and proactively drive improvements
  • Partner closely with Product, Design, Data, Security, and platform teams to deliver cohesive and high-quality customer experiences
  • Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical discussions, while mentoring junior engineers and helping raise engineering standards
  • Help define and promote best practices for architecture, clean code, security, performance, scalability, and developer productivity
