About the Role
You will write clear and compelling copy across formats, translate crypto and Web3 concepts into accessible language, develop and maintain a consistent brand voice across channels, use AI tools to accelerate output while upholding high editorial standards, contribute to campaigns and narratives that support launches and growth initiatives, stay ahead of crypto Web3 trends, review AI generated copy, and assist with image briefs using basic AI image generation tools.
Requirements
- Copywriting and Editorial: Demonstrable experience as a copywriter, content strategist, or creative with a strong portfolio spanning long and short-form work
- Exceptional writing skills, clear, purposeful, and adaptable across tone and format
- An instinct for structure and storytelling, able to build a narrative arc and distill it to a single, punchy line
- Strong editing skills; able to self-edit ruthlessly and improve the work of others without losing their voice
- Crypto and Web3 Knowledge: Solid understanding of the crypto and Web3 ecosystem and the ability to discuss Bitcoin, DeFi, NFTs, tokenomics, and the broader crypto landscape
- Experience writing about or working within Web3 products or companies, whether at an exchange, protocol, wallet, infrastructure provider, or agency
- Empathy for both technical and non-technical audiences and the ability to calibrate copy accordingly
- Awareness of regulatory and reputational sensitivities in crypto and the ability to write compliantly without losing impact
- AI Tools and Workflows: Hands-on experience using AI writing tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) as part of a professional creative workflow
- Strong prompt engineering skills: ability to brief an AI effectively and obtain consistently high-quality outputs
- A clear editorial framework for knowing when AI-generated content is adequate, needs significant reworking, or requires starting from scratch
- Familiarity with AI image generation tools is a plus but not a primary requirement
- Curiosity about emerging AI creative tools and a willingness to test, iterate, and share what works
Responsibilities
- Write high-quality copy across formats, from long-form articles, product explainers, and whitepapers to short-form ads, social posts, email campaigns, and landing page headlines
- Translate complex crypto and Web3 concepts (tokenomics, staking, DeFi, NFTs, and beyond) into clear, engaging language that resonates with both crypto-native audiences and newcomers
- Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice across all channels, adapting tone and register for different contexts and platforms
- Use AI tools (specifically Claude as business LLM with MCPs and agents built in) to increase content output and quality while ensuring copy meets a high human editorial standard before publication
- Collaborate with product, design, and marketing teams to craft narratives that support launches, campaigns, and growth initiatives
- Research and stay ahead of trends in the crypto Web3 space, ensuring content is timely, accurate, and culturally relevant
- Support creative concepting for campaigns by contributing ideas, messaging frameworks, and copy directions that go beyond execution
- Review and edit copy produced by AI tools or other team members, applying a consistent editorial lens
- Occasionally contribute to image and visual creative briefs, with a working understanding of AI image generation tools
