About the Role
You will assess finance operations, identify automation opportunities, and translate finance requirements into technical roadmaps. You will design and build an AI-native finance platform, deploy production agentic workflows, integrate finance systems and data sources, and maintain appropriate human oversight. You will establish AI governance, auditability, risk controls, and documentation; create reusable frameworks; train finance professionals; and report on automation performance, risk posture, and platform progress.
Requirements
- Proven experience designing, deploying, and scaling production agentic AI systems
- Deep understanding of LLM orchestration, multi-agent system design, and autonomous AI workflow failure modes
- Strong systems architecture capability from discovery through optimization
- Hands-on proficiency with Claude or Anthropic APIs, Python-based orchestration, n8n or equivalent workflow engines, and MCP or similar agent coordination layers
- Strong knowledge of finance operations, including close processes, reconciliations, treasury, financial reporting, and controls in a regulated environment
- Experience deploying automation in a SOX-regulated or equivalent compliance environment
- Ability to translate finance and business requirements into technical roadmaps and scalable solutions
- Ability to bridge finance, technical, and business teams and influence senior stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Evaluate finance workflows, including close, reconciliations, treasury, reporting, controls validation, and audit preparation
- Identify manual bottlenecks, capability gaps, and system integration failure points
- Build and prioritize a finance automation roadmap
- Translate finance process pain points into automation requirements
- Design the long-term architecture for an AI-native finance operating system
- Evaluate finance systems, interfaces, and data flows to define a scalable target architecture
- Build an agentic finance layer alongside the existing finance stack
- Deploy production-grade agentic workflows for finance operations
- Integrate APIs, data sources, and tools into automated workflows
- Design automation with appropriate human oversight, auditability, and control integrity
- Establish AI governance guardrails for a SOX-regulated financial environment
- Build frameworks for data classification, auditability, human checkpoints, failure detection, rollback, compliance, and design documentation
- Classify automation builds by risk tier and confirm process ownership, data flows, access controls, and audit logging
- Represent the Finance domain in the Automate Everything Center of Excellence
- Create reusable frameworks, workflow templates, and documentation
- Train finance professionals on deployed AI-assisted tools and workflows
- Build metrics and dashboards to measure automation efficiency, cost, risk, and ROI
- Provide leadership reporting on operational improvements, risk posture, and the finance platform roadmap
