Accounting Manager

About the Role
You will own day to day accounting and lead the accounting team. You will complete monthly, quarterly and annual closes, prepare financial statements and report to management, manage cash and banking relationships, and coordinate with auditors and external advisors. You will design and operate internal controls (J-SOX), prepare disclosure processes for IPO readiness, handle accounting for crypto assets when needed, and drive efficiency through systems and process improvements. Expect hybrid work with on-site presence for regular operations and emergency responses.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of accounting or finance practical experience
- Experience coordinating annual closing
- Team management or lead experience
- Understanding of accounting standards Japanese GAAP
- Ability to collaborate with other departments to drive work
- Experience with audit firm interactions preferred
- Experience in internal control design and operation preferred
- Experience in cash management management accounting or fundraising preferred
- Interest or experience in Web3 FinTech and crypto asset accounting preferred
- Experience with accounting system implementation and operation (e.g. Money Forward) preferred
- Business level English communication ability preferred
