About the Role
You will own the uptime, performance, and reliability of the validators. You will manage upgrades, snapshots, and sync performance, and orchestrate client upgrades, parameter changes, and hard-forks with zero downtime across staging and mainnet. You will build and automate bare-metal and cloud deployments using the simulation framework, profile and patch critical paths for execution and consensus clients, produce run-books and maintain clear documentation, and provide technical support to validator operators via Discord.
Requirements
- 4+ years operating high-availability distributed systems including direct experience running PoS validators on EVM-based chains
- Proficient in Go and Rust with ability to read debug and extend execution layer and consensus layer client code
- Strong grasp of protocol-level concepts such as fork-choice, evidence handling, slashing conditions, and state sync
- Expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, and CI/CD workflows
- Advanced Linux user with deep networking knowledge and focus on system hardening and security
- Experience with observability including logs, metrics, and traces
