About the Role
You will oversee and manage the installation, maintenance, and optimisation of trading hardware and software. You will monitor system performance and latency, identify bottlenecks, and implement scalability and redundancy measures. You will collaborate with traders, IT, risk, and compliance to integrate systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and secure trading data. You will create, test, and update disaster recovery plans, manage infrastructure budgeting and forecasting, and provide training and documentation for new systems and upgrades.
Requirements
- Proven experience in trading systems and infrastructure management within financial services
- Experience with system monitoring performance optimisation and scalability
- Understanding of market connectivity such as FIX protocol and trading workflows
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure and modern infrastructure tools
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices data protection and access controls
- Understanding of regulatory requirements including Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission frameworks where applicable
- Experience in disaster recovery planning high availability and system resilience
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across trading IT risk and compliance
- Experience in budgeting vendor management and infrastructure planning
- Ability to manage projects system upgrades and technology improvements
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage installation maintenance and optimisation of trading hardware and software
- Ensure infrastructure scalability to handle increased trading volumes and market expansion
- Monitor performance and latency of trading systems
- Use monitoring tools and analytics to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
- Develop and implement redundancy measures to minimize downtime
- Ensure infrastructure meets regulatory requirements in collaboration with compliance and risk
- Work closely with traders to understand needs and support trading workflows
- Integrate trading systems with enterprise software in collaboration with IT
- Create implement and test disaster recovery plans for trading systems
- Regularly update and revise disaster recovery and continuity plans
- Ensure trading data security and implement measures to prevent breaches
- Conduct regular security audits and reviews
- Prepare and manage budget for trading infrastructure
- Forecast infrastructure needs based on projected trading volumes
- Implement system upgrades and platform migrations as needed
- Provide training for traders on new systems and tools
- Document processes procedures and system configurations
