About the Role
You will own functional test delivery for assigned projects or workstreams. You will define test strategy and plans, oversee execution and evidence, manage defects and quality risks, report progress and release readiness, coordinate sign-off, support contributors, and improve testing practices.
Requirements
- Hands-on functional testing experience
- Client-facing test-delivery or engagement experience
- Experience in Agile delivery environments
- Experience working with distributed teams
- Knowledge of functional test metrics, coverage, defect trends, KPIs, SLAs, quality gates, and release-readiness reporting
- Jira and Xray experience
- Written and verbal English communication skills
- Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- ISTQB Advanced Test Manager certification or equivalent practical experience
- Investment, wealth, life, or pensions product knowledge
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory environments
Responsibilities
- Define and own functional test strategies and approaches
- Lead functional test planning, estimation, scope definition, prioritisation, and execution oversight
- Ensure test plans, scenarios, cases, evidence, defect updates, traceability, and closure reports meet standards
- Manage testing risks, issues, dependencies, blockers, and residual quality risks
- Report test progress, defects, coverage, quality gates, and release readiness
- Agree test scope, criteria, dependencies, and execution approaches with stakeholders
- Support defect triage and issue resolution
- Coordinate functional testing sign-off readiness
- Ensure test environments, data, and access are available
- Assess change-request impacts on testing
- Provide functional test direction and coaching to contributors
- Drive continuous improvement in functional testing
