About the Role

You will lead the design and implementation of systems that run inside AWS VPCs. You will create application and infrastructure components primarily in Go, work with Terraform-provisioned infrastructure and operate services using Kubernetes (EKS). You will own features from design through testing and release, participate in on-call rotation, and troubleshoot incidents to ensure performance, security, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Experience with Go (Golang) or Rust
  • Familiarity with microservice architectures
  • Proven experience building and operating large scale distributed systems
  • Expertise in AWS (S3, EC2, Route53 and related services)
  • Expertise in Kubernetes and EKS
  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with MongoDB is a plus
  • Ability to discuss performance, security, and user interactions in complex systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead design and implementation of AWS-based systems
  • Develop backend services and applications in Go
  • Manage Terraform-provisioned infrastructure
  • Operate and maintain Kubernetes clusters (EKS)
  • Ensure performance, security, and reliability of services
  • Own feature lifecycle from design through testing and release
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident management
