About the Role
You will own the data and metrics function for Dicey’s casino and sports product and build foundational frameworks from the ground up. You will define and develop performance and risk metrics across user growth, retention, incentives, and revenue (GGR/NGR). You will build proactive risk monitoring and alerting systems to detect abuse and novel exploits, develop rigorous accounting and metric definitions (for example deposit bonus NGR and affiliate payout calculations), work across casino and sports workstreams including rewards progression modeling and sportsbook margin analysis, partner with Product and Engineering to translate data insights into decisions, and present findings and recommendations clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Data Science or Analytics with meaningful time in iGaming, crypto casino, or sports betting
- Deep domain knowledge in casino and sports betting metrics such as GGR, NGR, hold percentage, and rakeback
- Experience building risk monitoring frameworks and proactive alerting systems for abuse or anomaly detection
- Advanced SQL and proficiency in Python or R; comfortable building and owning data pipelines
- Strong communication skills to influence product and business decisions
- Operator mindset and ability to move fast and adapt to shifting priorities in a zero-to-one environment
- Experience working closely with Product and Engineering teams
- Prior experience as a Head of Data Science or Data Science manager is a strong plus
- Background at a crypto casino or comparable iGaming platform preferred
