About the Role
You will build, test, and operate scoped monitoring-platform components under senior guidance. You will contribute to data collection, storage, alerting, correlation, topology, remediation, workflows, and observability instrumentation. You will build dashboards and runbooks, participate in testing, and shadow on-call before taking primary duty.
Requirements
- 0-2 years of software engineering experience
- Proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or Rust
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, TCP, HTTP, and operating-system concepts
- Understanding of idempotency, retries, back-pressure, caching, and eventual consistency
- Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, or similar observability tools
- Linux and shell familiarity
- Kubernetes fundamentals
- Git and CI familiarity
- Unit- and integration-testing skills
- Written and verbal English communication
Responsibilities
- Build collection, storage, enrichment, and monitoring components
- Implement and tune alerting, correlation, and SLO components
- Contribute to topology, cluster-health, and collection plugins
- Build remediation, orchestration, workflow, inspection, and scheduling components
- Instrument services with metrics, logs, and traces using OpenTelemetry
- Build dashboards and write on-call runbooks
- Write unit, integration, and contract tests
- Participate in chaos and soak tests
- Participate in on-call as a shadow
