About the Role
You will translate requirements into reproducible test plans and automated functional, integration, and end-to-end tests. You will run qualification, investigate failures, report and verify defects, assess accuracy and performance, use AI-assisted engineering with review, and document workflows and results.
Requirements
- Software development ability and practical software-quality or test-engineering experience.
- Programming skills for test automation and tooling; Python is used in the current workflow.
- Experience designing requirement-based tests, including negative cases, boundary conditions, and integration behavior.
- Experience investigating failures using logs, configuration evidence, and reproducible experiments.
- Experience improving workflows through automation and reusable tooling.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted engineering for test planning, coding, or failure analysis.
- Ability to work in Linux-based development or test environments with version control, code review, and automated test workflows.
- Clear written communication and ability to collaborate with distributed teams.
Responsibilities
- Translate requirements, changelogs, and handoffs into test plans with scope, configurations, expected results, and evidence.
- Build and maintain automated functional, integration, and end-to-end tests in CI, nightly, and release workflows.
- Run qualification against candidate builds and supported configurations with reproducible records.
- Investigate failures using code, logs, and focused experiments.
- Report defects with reproducible steps and evidence, verify fixes, and document coverage gaps.
- Assess numerical accuracy, performance, and stability against agreed tolerances and baselines.
- Use AI for test design, coding, and log analysis while reviewing and verifying outputs.
- Prioritize coverage based on product risk and available hardware, and document workflows and handoffs.
