About the Role

You will embed security into product development through threat modeling, design reviews, and secure defaults. You will implement security controls, build security tooling and CI/CD automation, mitigate AI-specific risks, and improve detection of access anomalies, abuse patterns, and suspicious production behavior.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent computer science or engineering experience
• Proficiency in a backend language such as Python or Rust
• Generalist software engineering background and ability to review production code for security risks
• Experience securing web applications and APIs
• Familiarity with vulnerability classes and prevention frameworks
• Understanding of cloud infrastructure
• Ability to own projects end to end

Responsibilities

• Embed security into the development lifecycle through threat modeling, design reviews, and secure defaults
• Design and implement authentication, authorization, session management, input validation, and other security controls
• Build and maintain security tooling and automation for engineers
• Implement secure frameworks, CI/CD checks, dependency management, and vulnerability detection
• Identify and mitigate AI-specific product risks
• Improve observability and detection for security-relevant events
