About the Role
Join StraitsX for at least six months as an active contributor to the systems powering fiat and stablecoin payment rails. Gain broad product development exposure while working with experienced mentors in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Foundational understanding of frontend and backend development.
- Experience with at least one backend language such as Python, Go, Ruby, or Java.
- Fundamental understanding of SQL and data structures.
- Familiarity with Git for version control.
- Strong desire to learn and ability to communicate ideas clearly.
- Interest in fintech, crypto, or global money movement is a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and ship features across user-facing web applications and underlying payment services.
- Help build and maintain payment flows.
- Craft responsive interfaces using React, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
- Collaborate with product managers and senior engineers to turn wireframes and requirements into functional code.
- Participate in code reviews and apply industry-standard testing practices.
- Debug issues across the stack and help optimize systems for performance and security.
