About the Role

You will lead external and internal communications for FutureTech research. You will create and schedule social content, graphics, videos, newsletters, press materials, and promotional assets. You will maintain the website, monitor media coverage, track engagement metrics, support events, and translate technical research into accessible stories for varied audiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in social media management, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field
  • Proficiency with social media management, analytics, graphic design, and video editing tools
  • Ability to manage multiple content pipelines and deadlines independently
  • Discretion and sound judgment when handling sensitive or pre-release information
  • Ability to work effectively with faculty, researchers, journalists, external stakeholders, and senior leaders
  • Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a social media strategy across platforms
  • Write, design, and schedule posts, graphics, short videos, and newsletters
  • Handle media inquiries and prepare press releases, talking points, and briefing materials
  • Coordinate interviews and press opportunities
  • Maintain and update the FutureTech website
  • Track communications metrics and refine strategy using insights
  • Promote workshops, conferences, and public-facing events
  • Develop dissemination plans for papers, reports, and datasets
  • Maintain consistent visual and editorial branding across channels
  • Monitor relevant media coverage and public discourse
  • Draft communications for funders, partners, and external stakeholders
