About the Role
You will design, integrate, test, and operate thermal control systems for spacecraft and lunar systems. You will build thermal models, coordinate requirements and risks, manage suppliers, support cleanroom assembly and thermal-vacuum testing, and create procedures for mission operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or similar Engineering with 8 years of spacecraft thermal systems experience, or a Master’s degree with 6 years of related experience
- Knowledge of spacecraft thermal-system architecture, standards, best practices, components, and suppliers
- Experience designing or analyzing thermal control components
- Experience with specifications, vendor management, and requirements verification
- Experience with fluid-thermal system design and analysis software
- Experience with thermal-vacuum testing of space hardware
- Verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities
- Design, integrate, test, and operate spacecraft thermal control systems
- Create conceptual and detailed spacecraft thermal-system designs
- Build and run thermal models
- Develop component specifications and support supplier management
- Review manufacturing processes and verify requirements through testing or analysis
- Coordinate requirements, design progress, schedules, and risks with spacecraft subsystems
- Create integration instructions and support cleanroom assembly
- Write test plans and support thermal-vacuum testing
- Write mission operations procedures and provide real-time mission operations support
