About the Role
You will define requirements, interfaces, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and verification plans for assigned systems workstreams. You will lead technical tradeoff analysis, integration, and verification across bench, simulation, ground, and flight activities. You will investigate anomalies, coordinate corrective actions, improve engineering practices, and mentor less-experienced engineers.
Requirements
- Engineering education or equivalent practical experience relevant to aircraft systems, robotics, or complex hardware and software products
- End-to-end ownership of meaningful engineering workstreams
- Expertise in systems engineering or an aircraft subsystem
- Experience with requirements traceability, interface control, engineering trade studies, configuration changes, and verification and validation
- Ability to communicate technical decisions, evidence, uncertainty, and risks
- Ability to resolve ambiguous problems and coordinate dependencies
- Proficiency with engineering analysis tools
- U.S. citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, or eligibility under applicable export control regulations
Responsibilities
- Define workstream scope, requirements, interfaces, acceptance criteria, dependencies, and verification plans
- Lead analysis of architecture and interface tradeoffs
- Set test approaches, readiness criteria, and configuration baselines
- Coordinate bench, simulation, ground, and flight verification
- Investigate complex system anomalies and verify corrective actions
- Improve documentation, design reviews, test reviews, and engineering standards
- Mentor less-experienced engineers
