About the Role

In this role you will lead the design and development of secure native mobile applications for iOS and Android. You will work on security and privacy features and apply cryptography principles to protect data. You will integrate VIA backend microservices and secure APIs into the mobile application logic. You will collaborate with UI UX designers and backend developers to deliver performant and reliable features. You will participate in defining mobile development best practices and automated testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of professional experience developing and shipping native mobile applications
• Proficiency with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) and native iOS development (Swift) and native Android development
• Direct experience with native mobile security features including Secure Enclaves or equivalent secure storage mechanisms
• Working knowledge of basic cryptography principles and their application in mobile security
• Strong experience integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data streams
• Solid understanding of mobile UI UX principles architectural patterns such as MVVM and MVI and performance optimization
• Experience with digital wallets biometric authentication (Face ID/Touch ID) or equivalent credential management systems is a significant plus
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes for mobile application deployment (e.g., Fastlane Jenkins or similar)
• Proficiency in TypeScript for building and maintaining robust mobile applications

Responsibilities

• Drive the end to end development testing and deployment of high quality native applications for iOS and Android
• Maintain application performance troubleshoot issues and ensure broad compatibility across devices and OS versions
• Architect and implement features focused on security and privacy using native mobile security frameworks
• Implement secure data handling and storage including Secure Enclaves or equivalent technologies
• Apply basic cryptography principles for data protection and secure communication within the mobile environment
• Integrate VIA backend microservices and secure APIs into the mobile application logic
• Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical leadership in mobile development
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless performant and reliable application functionality
• Define and uphold mobile development best practices code reviews and automated testing
