Senior Software Engineer, Hexagate
Chainalysis is the blockchain data platform.
About Chainalysis
Chainalysis offers a blockchain data platform that utilizes sophisticated machine learning and proprietary architecture to handle extensive clustering heuristics, ingest data at scale, and ensure high data accuracy. The platform supports new blockchains and standard tokens automatically, providing comprehensive industry coverage. It simplifies tracing fund flows through complex transactions like bridges, mixers, and DEX swaps. The data provided by Chainalysis is court-admissible and has been instrumental in legal actions. The company provides global, 24/7 support with localized guidance and expertise in various threat typologies and advanced investigative techniques. Through its R&D initiative, Chainalysis Labs, the company continues to innovate and introduce new, unique features and capabilities in blockchain intelligence.
Skills
About the Role
You'll join the Hexagate team to build cybersecurity products that protect on-chain and web3 assets, working in an adversarial space where attacks are constant and response time matters. You will build real-time pipelines that ingest, normalize, enrich, and route multi-chain activity at high throughput. You'll work on detection engines including an internal monitoring DSL, statistical and anomaly models, ML models, and threat intelligence. You'll design response workflows that turn detections into alerts, automations, and integrations like webhooks and SIEM. You'll also work on LLM systems that help users translate intent into monitors and workflows and speed up investigations safely and predictably. You'll own production systems end-to-end, from design through build, deploy, and operation, continuously improving observability, latency, and reliability.
Requirements
- Senior backend experience shipping and operating production services
- Distributed systems experience: reliability, latency, concurrency, backpressure, and idempotency
- Strong API design and data modeling skills (relational + event-driven)
- High ownership and ability to drive work end-to-end
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Web3/blockchain experience or interest is a plus
- Real-time or streaming data experience is a plus
- Security or fraud domain experience is a plus
