About the Role
You design and evolve an application-level simulator for machine learning workloads, model execution and resource usage, translate real workloads into simulation models, validate results against system measurements, build scalable components, collaborate with performance and ML teams, and drive adoption of the simulator for technical decisions.
Requirements
- Strong C++ development experience in performance-sensitive or large-scale systems
- Strong Python skills
- Familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch and execution graphs
- Understanding of computer architecture, memory hierarchy and heterogeneous systems
- Familiarity with machine learning accelerator concepts
- Understanding of modern machine learning architectures such as transformers and MoE
- Experience with simulators or performance models
- Knowledge of parallelism models and hardware mapping
- Experience profiling and debugging complex multi-layer systems
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve an ML application-level simulator
- Model workload execution, system behaviour and resource usage
- Translate real-world workloads and benchmarking data into simulation models
- Validate simulator outputs against real system measurements
- Build scalable and maintainable components
- Collaborate with performance engineers, ML teams and silicon architects
