About the Role
Join Dave's collaborative engineering team to design, build, and maintain backend code supporting features used by 5 million users. The role primarily uses TypeScript and includes code reviews, technical leadership, mentoring, pairing, and collaboration with product managers and designers on user-facing products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent related experience or training
- 4+ years of software engineering experience building full stack applications
- Strong computer science fundamentals and problem-solving skills
- Experience with JavaScript, Java, Python, C/C++, Go, or another general-purpose programming language
- Experience using a modern UI framework to build user-focused interfaces
- Effective communication skills and ability to give and receive constructive feedback
- Understanding of monitoring and metric tools
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Ability to discuss and explain system architecture and component design
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend code to support features used by 5 million users
- Develop backend features in TypeScript
- Participate in code reviews and other team functions
- Provide technical leadership and help guide the team's overall technical direction
- Mentor and pair with other engineers regularly
- Work with product managers and designers to define feature specifications and build products using React.js and React Native
