Its platform enables accredited members to review and invest in selected startups, track returns, and follow portfolio company progress. About the Role
Maintain the existing FundersClub platform and ship new features while assisting the Venture team with technical diligence and incubation-related work. The role requires security-conscious engineering for systems handling PII, third-party API integration, work across large undocumented codebases, rapid iteration, adaptability, and clear communication.
Requirements
- Built complex web applications for 8+ years used by thousands or millions of users
- Fluency in Python, Django, and Django REST framework
- Frontend experience with Angular, TypeScript, CoffeeScript, and Grunt
- Experience deploying and testing Django applications on AWS, Heroku, and CircleCI
- Security-first mindset and experience handling systems with PII
- Experience working with large, undocumented codebases
- Experience integrating third-party APIs
- Preference for shipping working code quickly and iterating
- High adaptability to change
- High self-motivation and inclination to improve
- Strong communication skills with engineers and non-engineers
- Preference for working with small teams
Responsibilities
- Maintain the existing FC platform (~75% time)
- Ship new features (~25% time)
- Assist the Venture team with technical diligence of startups serving developers and incubation-related work
