About the Role

You will design and implement scalable software solutions and APIs to support users' investments and portfolios. You will take loosely defined problems through to technically sound, tested and documented software. You will collaborate with other engineers to improve quality and you will mentor other engineers to help them grow.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as a Software Engineer
  • Proficiency with TypeScript and JavaScript backend frameworks (Express NestJS or similar)
  • Comfortable writing backend code that is performant and efficient
  • Experience building RESTful interfaces and designing APIs
  • Experience working in a multi person development team with automated testing CI CD pipelines and peer reviews in an Agile environment

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain high performing, scalable software solutions
  • Extend and evolve the existing application to deliver features that help users understand investments and manage portfolios
  • Build APIs for partners to access and place orders on the platform
  • Take loosely defined problems through to technically sound, tested and well documented software solutions
  • Collaborate with engineers across the organization to share knowledge and improve quality
  • Advocate best coding practices to raise the bar for the team and the company
  • Mentor engineers on the team to support their growth
