About the Role
You will build forecasting, capacity-planning, and closed-loop automation for storage and database infrastructure. You will rightsize AWS databases, caches, block storage, and S3; measure cost and reliability outcomes; and build safe production changes with rollout and rollback controls.
Requirements
- Experience operating AWS storage and databases at scale
- Experience with Aurora or RDS using MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Experience with S3 replication, read scaling, storage classes, and lifecycle management
- Capacity planning and time-series demand forecasting experience
- Load-testing experience
- Infrastructure rightsizing experience using utilization data
- Python or Go engineering experience
- Experience building automation that safely changes production infrastructure
- Knowledge of AWS storage and database pricing
Responsibilities
- Build forecast-driven capacity plans for storage and database infrastructure
- Build an Aurora capacity planner using demand and load signals
- Rightsize RDS, ElastiCache, DynamoDB, and EBS infrastructure
- Optimize S3 storage classes, lifecycle policies, retention, and request costs
- Turn infrastructure recommendations into guarded, progressive, and reversible automation
- Measure cost and reliability outcomes and share forecasts with compute rightsizing systems
