About the Role

Design and build scalable backend systems and APIs, contribute to architecture decisions, translate customer needs into technical solutions, write maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and join on-call rotations.

Requirements

  • Experience designing and building scalable systems, web applications, APIs, and services.
  • Understanding of relational databases such as Postgres and analytical databases.
  • Experience translating customer pain points into technical and product requirements.
  • High initiative, ownership, adaptability, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
  • Ability to structure problems and prioritize critical issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional environments.
  • Ability to work with at least six hours of overlap with PST, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. PST.
  • Applied AI fluency.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable backend systems, web applications, APIs, and services.
  • Develop and maintain public APIs in the API Product suite.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to transform functional visions into roadmaps with clear outcomes.
  • Support internal business units through shared engineering services and functionalities.
  • Build cross-functional relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  • Participate in code reviews and on-call rotations for internal tools.
