About the Role
You will build perception software for autonomous rovers and robotic spacecraft. You will develop vision, LiDAR, sensor-fusion, mapping, localization, motion-control, simulation, and verification systems, then optimize and integrate them into embedded flight software.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Aerospace, or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on algorithm-development experience
- Strong modern C++ and Python programming skills
- Experience shipping production software in Linux
- Must be a U.S. Person and eligible to obtain required export authorizations
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain perception software for autonomous rovers and robotic spacecraft
- Develop stereo vision and LiDAR algorithms for odometry, hazard detection, mapping, and localization
- Build sensor-fusion pipelines for camera, LiDAR, IMU, RF, and navigation measurements
- Implement feature detection, image registration, optical flow, and point-cloud processing
- Design motion control, path-planning, and behavior-control systems
- Optimize software for ARM processors, GPUs, and FPGAs
- Integrate robotics algorithms into flight software architectures
- Develop simulation tools and sensor models
- Develop automated, hardware-in-the-loop, and software-in-the-loop verification frameworks
