About the Role
You will accelerate robot autonomy algorithms using GPUs, multithreading, and hardware accelerators. You will build high-throughput, low-latency software and developer infrastructure; identify compute bottlenecks; improve tracing, profiling, benchmarking, and metrics; collaborate across autonomy domains; deploy software on production robots; and monitor performance across fleets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of experience, master's degree with 4+ years of experience, PhD with 2+ years of experience, or equivalent experience in computer science or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of Modern C++
- Experience in GPU programming and compute architecture using CUDA C++ or CUDA Python interfaces
- Multithreading experience preferred
- Experience delivering production software
- Proficiency in Linux
- Python and Docker experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Build high-throughput and low-latency robot autonomy algorithms
- Build infrastructure for high-performance software and hardware acceleration
- Identify compute bottlenecks and improve performance tooling
- Help teams instrument software to measure and monitor performance
- Collaborate across perception, decision-making, trajectory generation, optimization, and control
- Equip software teams with high-performance practices
- Evaluate hardware acceleration resources
- Participate in roadmapping future robot compute platforms
